questions about how long the job took, how well they cleaned up, etc.

may also be helpful to ask around town. In a small town in the South,
everyone knows everyone. The only thing to watch out for here, is that
some people you ask may be the competition and may actually give you a
bad review because they are trying to promote themselves. Get several
opionions so you can form your own, unbiased opinion.

2. Make Sure
the Company is Stable

If a company is having financial problems,
they may not be around in a few years if you have a problem. A promise
of a roofing company is only as good as the financial foundation upon
which it is built.

Ask the roofing company for a letter of
reference from their bank. If they hesitate to give it to you, it could
be a sure sign of trouble.

3. Insist on Insurance

If a
worker gets hurt on your property, it could literallly cost you your
house! Make sure that the roofing company has a minimum of $1,000,000
liability insurance. Ask to see the actual insurance certificate. Again,
if they won't produce it, steer away from that company.
