Anybody who rises to the ranks of a Hollywood superstar clearly has an
angel on his shoulder. Anyone who walks away from a car crash like the
one Shia LaBeouf was in this past July is lucky to be alive. Now, it
seems, fortune has once again smiled upon the "Eagle Eye" star.

TMZ is reporting that the Los Angeles County District Attorney's
office has decided to drop LaBeouf's driving-under-the-influence charge
on the grounds of insufficient evidence. The actor, who recently
referred to the accident as "one of the biggest things that's happened
in my life," is still dealing with a seriously injured left hand.

But perhaps his luck isn't running as hot as some might think.
LaBeouf still faces a California DMV hearing Friday, during which he'll
most likely have his driver's license suspended as a result of refusing
a blood-alcohol test the night of the accident. According to the
state's Web site: "A first offense will result in a one-year
suspension."

Moving to Copenhagen to kick-start their career, The Blue Van got to
work on a demo that it could distribute to booking agents, record
labels and the like. In an old garage with no heat and the band members
wearing jackets to keep warm, they captured early recordings on a disc
they dubbed A Session with the Blue Van.

next signed to Mercury Records and released New World Disorder in 1999.
The guys left the label following its merger with Universal and
harkened back to their D.I.Y. days with a tour of Europe and Japan
without label or managerial support. The rarities collection Tales from
the B-Side followed in 2001, along with their next full-length,
Uncivilization. Guitarist Leo Curley exited the group following the
album's release. Kill or Be Killed appeared two years later and
featured new axeman Carmine Vincent (ex-Nucleus), who had previously
roadied for the band. Means to an End, Biohazard's eighth and final
album, was issued in August 2005 on SPV. Graziadei went on to form
Suicide City with ex-members of Groovenics and Kittie. Meanwhile,
Seinfeld appeared on the 2006 VH1 reality show Supergroup with Ted
Nugent, Sebastian Bach, Scott Ian, and Jason Bonham. In December of
2007, a live double-disc CD and accompanying DVD titled Live in San
Francisco was released, documenting one of their last shows together as
a band. ~ Steve Huey, All Music Guide

if you see these four cats crossing the street, you'd better be ready.
The Blue Van is coming to take you away to a place where the only booze

After the rise and fall of Take That, Spice Girls, and
Boyzone, the U.K. didn't hold back with churning out signature pop
artists. British acts such as A1, Westlife, and the television spoof
band, Hear'Say burned radio waves for the early part of the decade and
the dance-pop trio Atomic Kitten joined the ranks of chart battles and
tabloid hell. Fans loved it, for the story behind the group exudes a
soap opera flair similar to their idols, the Spice Girls. Founded in
1999 by Orchestral Manoeuvers in the Dark's Andy McCluskey, Kerry
Katona, Liz McLarnon, and Natasha Hamilton hailed from Liverpool and
were in search of an outlet to fulfill their popstar dreams. And they
were barely out of their teens when a quickie deal with Innocent
Records in summer 1999 sealed the deal for Atomic Kitten. "Right Now"
and "See Ya" were instant Top 10 hits in Europe and "Whole Again"
reached number one in winter 2001. They were mainstays on MTV although
such success did not go off without a hitch. Kerry Katona announced to
the press in September 2000 that she and Westlife's Bryan McFaden were
an item and had been for a year. They were also expecting a baby and an
engagement soon followed. Katona's dislike for traveling led her to
leave the group, a foolish move she regretted after Atomic Kitten
earned whirlwind praise with their debut Right Now. Precious' Jenny
Frost aimed to fill Katona's shoes and a cover of the Bangles' "Eternal
Flame" was buzz in spring 2001. A cover of Blondie's "The Tide Is High"
followed several months later while stateside attention began to heat
up, placing Atomic Kitten next to the likes of The Supremes and The
Spice Girls for having more than a dozen singles hit #1 on the charts.
With the success of two more singles from their 2002 album Feels So
Good -- "Be With You" and "The Last Goodbye" -- Atomic Kitten landed a
US deal with Virgin before the year's end. As the club/dance cut "Love
Doesn't Have to Hurt" burned up the UK charts, Atomic Kitten prepped
for their self-titled American debut, which was released in April 2003.

only made Rose seem more out of touch from reality when he would hold
the band up from going on-stage, resulting in ridiculous multi-hour
delays. His public image took a few more shots when several concerts
were marred by audience riots caused by Rose's notorious hijinks and
when he tried to pick a fight with Nirvana leader Kurt Cobain backstage
at the 1992 MTV Video Music Awards for disparaging (yet quite on the
mark) remarks Cobain made about Rose in the press. When the tour
finally ground to a halt in 1993, GNR issued a lukewarmly received
collection of covers, The Spaghetti Incident?, and took a well-deserved
rest. But after numerous aborted writing/recording sessions for their
third proper studio album, the remaining other two original members
(Slash and McKagan) either quit the band or were dismissed by Rose.
Rose had been granted full ownership of the name Guns N' Roses, so he
slowly formed a whole new band around himself.

Born in Houston in September 1981, Beyoncé Giselle Knowles began
performing at age seven, winning upwards of 30 local competitions for
her dancing and vocal abilities. She also joined her cousin Kelly
Rowland and classmates LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett in forming
an adolescent vocal group. Mathew Knowles, Beyoncé's father and
Rowland's legal guardian, signed on to be the girls' manager,
eventually quitting his full-time job to focus on their efforts. This
situation would ultimately lead to the creation of one of the most
popular female R&B groups of all time -- Destiny's Child.
