Mother Gives Birth in Honda, then Names Newborn After Car.

It’s not the first time that someone has given birth in a vehicle,
and it’s surely not the last, but we doubt we can find another case
where a baby has been named for their mobile birthplace.

Sarah O’ Connor, a Briton currently living in Hong Kong, went into
labor March 8, and was able to make it all the way to the parking lot
of Hong Kong’s Prince of Wales Hospital. When it became clear that she
wasn’t going to make it all the way into the hospital, about 15 medical
personnel rushed out to help her give birth in the backseat of her
Honda Jazz hatchback (In case you are not familiar, the car known as
“Fit” here in the United States  is known to the rest of the world as
“Jazz”). And that, my friends, is how newborn Liran Jazz O’ Connor got
his name.

O Connors’ husband, Paul had this to say: “In their marketing, Honda
show how you can get a surf board or a washing machine in the back of a
Jazz – but I haven’t seen any adverts saying you can give birth in one
too.”
