Irwin Toyota in Laconia is announcing assistance for all New Hampshire Toyota owners who are looking for more information about the recent Toyota Safety recall.

Any Toyota owner in New Hampshire, regardless of where their vehicle was purchased, can call or visit Irwin Toyota to get answers to their questions regarding the massive recall.  On January 21, Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc, announced it would recall approximately 2.3 million vehicles to correct sticking accelerator pedals on specific Toyota Division models. This action is separate from the on-going recall of approximately 4.2 million Toyota and Lexus vehicles to reduce the risk of pedal entrapment by incorrect or out of place accessory floor mats.

The Toyota Safety recall is confined to the following Toyota Division vehicles:

• 2009-2010 RAV4,
• 2009-2010 Corolla,
• 2009-2010 Matrix,
• 2005-2010 Avalon,
• 2007-2010 Camry,
• 2010 Highlander,
• 2007-2010 Tundra,
• 2008-2010 Sequoia

Irwin Toyota in Laconia recommends that any consumer confused or uncertain of the safety of their Toyota vehicle call or visit their dealership.  According to Chris Irwin, Vice President of Irwin Motors, “We would rather Toyota owners call or visit our dealership if they have the slightest concern.  There are only 8 models affected by the recall, but there are still many Toyota owners concerned about whether or not their model will eventually be recalled.”

Toyota Motor Sales is continuing to investigate incidents of unwanted acceleration and has pledged to take appropriate measures to address any trends that are identified.  In the interim, New Hampshire Toyota owners can get more answers regarding the recall from Irwin Toyota.
